Human Resources policy

We at Severstal Cherepovets Steel Mill think that our people are our competitive advantage helping us achieve and maintain business leadership.

The main objective of our HR Policy is to achieve an ideal price-performance ratio in all areas of HR taking in consideration all the various factors affecting employee motivation and helping our employees to reach their full  potential.

Efficiency of HR investments largely depends on the managers who create highly professional teams successfully addressing a wide range of production and management challenges.

In December, 2001, Severstal won the Russian Businesses with High Social Performance Award in Employee Qualifications and Training nomination. In 2002, we won the same award in Implementation of Social Programs in Businesses nomination. In 2005, Severstal was the winner in Talent Development nomination. In February, 2006, in the Award Ceremony in the State Kremlin Palace, Severstal was declared the winner of the 5th Russian Contest of Socially Responsible Businesses in Implementation of Social Programs in Businesses nomination. In  January, 2007, Severstal Cherepovets Steel Mill won the same award once  again.

Severstal has an internal employee training center. The training center provides trainings to managers and workers in 52 different areas of steelmaking technologies, occupational safety and management; offers educational and  consulting services, and arranges corporate programs and projects.

Our HR policy is focused on building a strong team capable of resolving all  our challenges.

Izhora Pipe Mill has won several tenders to supply PAO Gazprom with over 200 thousand tons of large diameter pipes. The products will be used in the development of gas transmission capacities for the Unified Gas Supply System in the North-West Region (NEGP), as well as the construction of the Kovykta-Chayanda section of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline.

PAO Severstal announces its Q4 & FY2018 financial results for the period ended 31 December 2018.

Tenaris S.A. announced today that it will form a joint venture with PAO Severstal to build a welded pipe plant to produce OCTG products in the Surgut area, West Siberia, Russian Federation. Tenaris will have a 49% interest in the joint venture company, with Severstal owning the remaining 51%. The commencement of the project is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions.
